Re: MAAC Corporate Restructuring?

Have agree with you on that, Dave!

I normally don't chime in on these threads, but if things were so bad (everyone taking swipes at each other through the MAAC membership list or here on RCC), why hasn't anyone called for a full and complete (read judicial) investigation from Corporations Canada or the police? Better yet, made the formal complaint?

Simple: if an investigation did take place, all statements made here and passed through the e-mail would become evidence and everyone involved would be making statements under oath and would have to provide solid evidence to back up their claims.

Re: MAAC Corporate Restructuring?

Hi Richard,

I've been a Maac member (6437) since age 9.
I'm going on over 55!
Maac has only grown !

Perhaps, all the 'complainers', think they help?

Take care,
Have fun,

Yes but who knows what is the 'true story' of what is really going on. Your saying we should all take Mr. Larkin's word for all this.

I have been in MAAC since 68 and have no idea who this fellow is.

This 'crap' has nothing to do for the most part with the membership. Most of us have no idea of what the heck is going on and why.

I would like to have this out in the open! Who did what to who and why!

Had me fooled fer a minute when you refer to: "my friends" "my circle" the "other side"...still sounds like you are trying to lead some movement....reminds me of this when you refer to the circle of friends, I vision this..."http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDVrmSEZEKg".

That's exactly how it appears to many. Well, it wasn't I who dragged out some ancient email exchange ............ which was a direct result of the FAI/World scale stuff.

It wasn't change for the sake of change back then....... it was me pointing out a large potential loss for a single event based on a weak/flawed business case, which I was unfortunately proven right. For me, it's never been about lowering dues, it's about using what we have more effectively and for the benefit of everyone. A national organization that looks after the core issues, not individual issues.

No wish to lead any charge. Folks outside my immediate circle are clearly interested in some change and I am simply pointing out how to use the current system to push for change.

......same old cast of characters who don't support any change playing politics and going for the throat when someone opposes them............. complaining to employer, threatening law suits... human rights commission.....etc. My friends and those who support my way of thinking WERE NEVER THE ONES TO TAKE ANY ARGUMENT TO THOSE LEVELS!!!!!!!! Typical of the "other side" was to loose an argument on fact and substance, so attack the individual.

"Can't defeat the message, then go after the messenger".

I've always promoted this hobby as fun, escape from reality and the company of good solid people. That is the circle I run in.

Re: MAAC Corporate Restructuring?

Nope, your wrong about your assumption. It was someone's anonymous attempt to sideswipe me on the heals of my questioning FAI spending and the world FAI scale event costs.

Owed Dennis the apology, unrelated to any of this topic, and gave it to him.

What exactly would that have to do with you, my friend? You really want to dredge up the whole World Scale thing again because that's where you and I came to love one another?

..... we should probably stick to some discussion that is forward-looking, don't ya think?
