Ok I will try that but how would I mount a brushless as it has the trainer mounting style where it clamps around the motor and mounts to the plane by its sides not the firewall and also what tyEnif brushless should I upgrade to

Connect the battery directly to the motor to make sure that it is running.
If the ESC is faulty you might as well replace it with a brushless system.
Brushed ESC's are as much as the brushless ones.
Brushless motor and ESC will cost around $70 ..

Old hobbico super star. Need help.

Hi this evening i picked up a old superstar ep that i am building for a buddy. it has the olld school brick power system lol the other brushed motor and Nicd batt but i got it all built in like half an hour but after charging the batt when i plug it in nothing happens. i pushed the switch both ways and held down the speed controler arm button but no matter what i do nothing happens.
whats going on?

Also if it was to change to lipo but leave it brushed what speed controller should i change to?


also i couldent have cooked it because it just came out of the box.
