LMAO, what could possibly make u think FASST is more immune to interference when the band is swamped than Spek DSMX?

In all my flying, I have never seen one crash on JR/Spek or Futaba that was in anyway related to the RF link. Most were pilot error, some mechanical or battery failure but, almost all were blamed (at least initially) on the RF link.

Re: Spektrum signal loss

spectrums idea of bullet proof link is based solely on other tx and rx interference. we had a full study done of our field and there was enough cell tower interference to kill any 2.4 signal when the towers were talking back and forth. don't be fooled into believing that 100 spectrums turned on at once proves there is no chance of signal failure. lately with all the 2.4 devices jabbering out there the only safe bet has been dusting off the old 72mhz tx's, or futaba fasst if you have a high amount of towers in your area. it sucks, but it is what it is. BTW i fly jr 9503, jr 10x pcm 72 mhz, and an evo 12. the only signal losses and crashes due to tx rx failure have been on my jr 9503 dsmx.

I guess they were designed that way for simplicity of use for the general public and the fact that there is no access to the Rx on the small UM planes.

Bricks automatically switch into bind mode if they don't see their own transmitter after about 5 seconds or so. Hence the procedure - turn on Tx BEFORE you connect the Rx battery and off AFTER you disconnect it.

Re: Spektrum signal loss

They would probably lick the stamps to put them in their collection albums.

Re: Spektrum signal loss

Spektrum Systems are fine.

The humans using them .... Well some are fine, some should take up stamp collecting

Yes I do remember Stegl as the pro Airtronics / anti Spektrum guy, but I also know Len as a neighboring club member and active flyer. Just be aware he is OLD and will eventually see the light at the end of the long twisted tunnel he has built for himself
