Re: Anyone in the Markham area with FE boats?

Hey Guys, just bought my first boat and I'm hooked! I got a Proboats Recoil. I'm lucky enough to live 5 mins from Grenadier Pond and Lake Ontario. I want to check out that pond you guys have mapped out.

Which pond has the pylons now? I've run at this one a couple times a few years ago. If you look close, it looks like someone was running a boat when the picture was taken:

Picked up an Fe30 with a Neu1515Y running in parallel. That one will be out at Alliston and Downsview with some other hydro guys.

For the Markhamish area will be running a Kukorelli, Glamour, Merlin & 23" Deep Vee.

We've since moved to Whitby, so I doubt I'll be out in the Markham area much at all. There is a pretty dedicated group in Durham that runs quite often too. I need to catch up with them next summer.

The Northern Lights Model Boat Club (Alliston, ON) can now be found on Facebook.

If the weather is better this week I'll come out and put some packs through mine!

The Northern Lights Club looks like a great club for a more serious racer. I would definitely like to come out one time and check your club out. But like Parsons said, the distance isn't that convenient.

Weather has been crap lately but managed to get the boat on the water. Wish there were more boaters nearby. There were a few younger kids with smaller toy boats though

It sounds like a good club, but Alliston is a long drive unless you're going to spend the whole day there, and evenings are totally out of the question.
