Congrats Dan. I got to fly that one lots and flies so good for the IMAC stuff.

The guy I built it for (Jack), was more a 3D guy and it was amazing to see what he could do with it. His only feedback was it could use a bit more rudder authority for slow 3D.

Please post some video next time out!!

Dangerous dan That stand-off and baffling took me over a week now the redbull plane is fully converted and maidened. Still have some trimming to do but she flies beautifully with a 170

Yes to both.

DA60, DA85, DA120 & DA170 all to be mounted like that.

Hey Dan I can answer some of those.

KS86v is a Front Dump Can
KS86vs is a Front Dump Can with smoke nipple so you can inject smoke fluid into the canister

It is no recommended to mount a DA170 on standoffs. You should build out the firewall with a nice solid piece of hardwood with the appropriate thickness , or multiple pieces with the same contoured to the same outline as the back plate of the DA170.

What exact cans were used? Ks86v or ks86vs and what is the difference?

If one was to get Jtec spacers and install a DA170 how would the SWB motor mount work? Would it work with a 170?
