Hi Avman,
My Sea Fury gear doors also have that same angle with the gear
extended. It's just how the geometry works out.

Cheers

Re: Topflite 1/7th scale SeaFury

ACav8r this may be a stupid question but I'm having trouble figuring out my undercarriage doors. In order that the gear doors sit flush with the bottom of the wing when the undercarriage is retracted, it seems that they have to be at an angle to the wheel when the undercarriage is down.

Is there a way round this as it looks like your gear doors are at the right angle when retracted and down?

Excellent. Thanks for that. That info will be very helpful when I get to that stage.

Re: Topflite 1/7th scale SeaFury

Its been done as per the plan! I guess the longer option......I put the recommended Robart 605HD 5-12lb struts........my model with the DLE 20 comes in around 12.5 lbs....so I am actually swapping out for the heavier duty 12-18lb struts 7/16th size.

Hope this helps.

I've got one, finished per the box, and a ST .75, but after this flying season, might have to strip her down, and do some glassing and detailing. Would love to hear more about what was done, and how.

Re: Topflite 1/7th scale SeaFury

Hi there from the UK. I love your model. Looks fantastic. I'm building one now and was just wondering, with the undercarriage, did you put the wheels in the scale location indicated on the plan, the longer strut option, or the shorter option?

Thanks
Mike

Nice looking bird. You just helped me make up my mind on my next model. Going to be ordering one in the morning. Dan maybe we can fly them in formation. Your T-Bolt and my Fury.
