LOL, no they didn't... LOL

Their predecessors built the club, but with only 23 members and mostly younger folks, it makes for entertaining flying. LOL

Ok ok ok ok, I may have found the fountain of youth.. LOL

Today I went flying with an awesome bunch of guys (2 which turned to 3 later). This club has a field that has a square patch of very very very very flat 450 x 450 (guesstimate) plot of land, not too far from northern Mississauga.

Pluses:
Very friendly folks
Nice flat area with no bumps
Lots of approach space (lots and lots and lots)
A float fly pond at the east border of the field.

Prevailing winds are from the east, with the occasion south easterly breeze.

Membership totals approximately 23 (Soon to be 25)

Very very friendly.. Oh get this, average age at the field when I was there was early to mid 30's, it's only that high since I (old fart) was there. LOL

Club has been in existence for approximately 15 years.

Two thumbs up for the Georgetown (south) flying club.

Thanks guys,

Yup that's the place, it seems like people have been using that for quite a long time. I flew a Falcon 56 there, and back then it was a HUGE plane.

Sandy,

I'll send you a lollipop.. LOL

Ben, I agree with Joe - try and join a club. Yes you may find a few carmudgeons, (?) but most guys, if they know you are a flier, will be thrilled to share their projects and skills.

Joe, who luvs ya baby!!!

How did you find out about the Hobby and what keeps you in the hobby?

Hi,
I'm not a member of any club because everyone here speaks french so there is a bit of a language barrier. I normally fly with my friends on farm fields. I'm self taught (building skills, flying and whatever else) and I got into it because I've always loved the idea of flight. Currently I'm studying to become an aeronautical composite engineer.

On the lighter side of things, my hair isn't all that grey, but my solar panel is growing! Damn genetics!
