Re: Yellow Aircraft P-47 build

The crazy thing is...I have bought a Ziroli Corsair.. in which is already framed up ... I bought Centrury Jet Models Retracts for that plane as well... along with a NEW Saito 450 ( 75cc ) that Adrean at ( CH Ignitions ) has converted for me to Electronic Ignition... and GAS.... check this out...

I have more desire right now... to build the Corsair... Before I can
start on that I have to finish my JET... for Kentucky Jets...

Hammer...
I have an original KIT... when I bought mine the older
gentleman actually bought all kinds of things to go with it over a
period of time... I even have a scale pilot that he bought.
He also bought a static 4 bladed prop... that has to be built...
dummy radial engine.. like he was going to show this plane
versus fly it.. but oh well.. I may do both.. lol

Re: Yellow Aircraft P-47 build

Hey Ron Thanks for info regarding Century Retracts... I got mine at an auction , and split the deal with a friend... he wanted the engine and retracts ... i got the airframe, its built and been flown , has been repaired from previous sorti's I'm going to try and do a restoration , It's a Bubble canopy in the Amy Lou scheme... going to keep that scheme as a tribute to the late previous owner who is a well know scale modeler in Ontario.
Not sure what the market is on a bird like that that , I got this one way below market... my best guess would somewhere around $500.-$800.would be a reasonable price ... but I could be wrong !

I bought Century Jet Models Retracts for mine... Since I live 30 min
away from Bruce Sanders Shop.... ( and I know him ) lol it was a no brainer
for me.. I dont have any knowledge of Top Flights retracts... we would have
to do some research I am sure.. to see ....
I too recently purchased one from an Old Timer that had a mountain
of 1/5 scale war birds in his basement... many Kits have been taken already
but there are still a few more good ones to be had...
I will ask this... what would a guy pay ... for an almost already built
Yellow Aircraft P-47 Razorback ... already glassed.... hinged..retracts installed.
???? he gave me a price ... but since I am building my Jet right now
I am not too sure I would get it....

Re: Yellow Aircraft P-47 build

I recently acquired a previously loved Yellow P-47 , and am interested in setup, engines used , how it fly's and balances , also looking for a replacement set of retracts , and curious if the Top Flights are a compatible alternative ...

Re: Yellow Aircraft P-47 build

I know this thread is old... but I am curious if there are others
that have or are going to build this plane...
has any one came back with feedback with test flights... maidens..
how did it balance out... I was curious if there are others that would
want to keep this thread going...
