According to the specs they should handle 6 volts unless you were running fully charged A123 2S and that could be higher. Try running the batteries down a bit and use a voltmeter just to make sure what your voltage is. Also could be some voltage interaction and the receiver not liking it causing the servos to react as they are.

Hi Peter

I may be interested in the servos. Since I run JR rx's I shouldn't have a problem. Let me know.

When I try to run my jet on A123 two cell pack all the servos will buzz. When I change to a 4.8 volt nicad all is good. Is there a gadget out thre that is proven. That can drop the voltage from 6.6 volts to 4.8? I do not want to use Nicads

Thanks
You didn't say but are you running Futaba servos by any chance? A lot of the older Futaba design servos specifically state only 4.8 volts. As stated earlier Castle creations make a 10 amp and a 20 amp BEC adapter that allows you to select voltages starting at 5v I believe and then is setable by .1 v increments.

Also you didn't say if you were running an EDF or turbine jets . Either way digital servos are the way to go. If using any of the Airtronic digitalis they are all good for 6.6 volts , even the micros AND are very cost effective

Are these in your Thunder Chicken? Should have said so, definitely need high performance digitals in that!

Re: 4.8 volt servos buzzing on 123 batteries

The whole point of running A123 is so you dont need to run a regulator. If you're getting buzzing on servos with the higher voltage, theres issues somewhere else.

I once read somewhere that a higher input voltage had the net effect of reducing the deadband of the servo. I think that only applied to analog servos but who knows in your case.

Maybe its time for new servos?
