Saw a mid-air at the Canadian Nationals held at Centrelia many moons ago. Two C/L combats took off going like stink and collided - complete silence afterwards - not a sound or word said. There's also a YouTube vid of a jet crashing and in the background you hear "well there goes $20000" |

Re: stupidest thing said after buddy crashes pride and joy Like everyone here, I've turned quite a few planes into overpriced lawn darts, but my combat mustang EXPLODED last year in a head on. A friend of mine happened by the field just before it happened, was standing at the flight line with me when WHAMMO, somehow two of us flying decided to go right down the center of the runway, full out. I'll give him credit, he usually doesn't bite his tongue, but he didn't say a word until I was on the ground laughing my arse off, all I said was "THAT WAS AWESOME!!". Sure it sucks, but in this hobby.. "that's the way o the road" No one got video unfortunately, but here's the parts I managed to recover |

Re: stupidest thing said after buddy crashes pride and joy haha thats great stuff guys. As i recently snuffed my edge 540t extreme flight i can feel youre pain. All my buddy had to do was look at me with unparralleled joy and say "now i dont feel so alone". We laughed because what else is there to do? And seeing as till this point he was the only one in the crash club( having crashed his beaver, had his mentor fly away, and spiral his nazi tri wing into the ground all in one day). It was all good until i found out the power 32 was snapped and the hs 65 on the right wing was only half left. Then i felt sick, We never found the left wing till 2 days later when it blew outa the tree and i seen it lying on the road on my way to work. but hey on the bright side sim time is up new plans are coming in and the sun is shining and the wind aint blowin. |

Re: stupidest thing said after buddy crashes pride and joy Okay so here's the thing recently it seems that every time Rick and I are in the air together, something "bad" happens to my airplane. A month ago on the ice we had a mid-air that destroyed my "Big Stick". Now yesterday it was a beautiful evening, I did a snapish role with my "Falcon III" and popped the covering off of the top right wing. It immediately went into a dive, I almost recovered but was too low and clipped a tree. So I naturally blamed everything on Rick. Re: stupidest thing said after buddy crashes pride and joy well i had a comment from my daughter at the field the one time she came to watch daddys new airplane fly (topflite corsair) my pride and joy 8 flights old all done up when it was ready and had it sittin in the livingroom i kept telling her dont touch dont touch daddys airplane she was 6 at that time so when i crashed it and returned to the flightline with the splinters and pieces her words were DADDY CAN I TOUCH IT YOUR AIRPLANE NOW that made my day and is till this day my greatest day flying yet |
