Re: The Rideau Flyers 2013 E-Jets Rally - Ottawa For those of us that are building for this event ... can you guys set out some speed contest rules, What are the classes? 70mm, 90mm, unlimited EDF ?cell count? I could see a 64mm trying in the 70mm class, or a 80/85 trying the 90mm class if there is no cell count restrictions. A dual microphone doppler setup 100m apart would be best to get true airspeed. |

Re: The Rideau Flyers 2013 E-Jets Rally - Ottawa Yes Ken , doors are pain to install but the good news they fly away much faster Finally flew the f16 the fist attempt was very scary almost hit a tree for a change. Plane was very tail heavy and way to much trow on elevator...next few flights want much better ...on 4 S it's unlimited verticalOn five should be very scary I flew my Nitroplane Tornado, I was afraid to handlauch, because was a maiden, but the plane take off nicely on hard snow..The jet can fold is wing and I hit the switch @ safe altitude and ...no change still very controllable..this one you can not beat the price and it's so much fun. On the picture you can see my my new Duo 4010 I Charger a nice piece of equipement for serious Eflyer, great Charger ,...still learning |

Re: The Rideau Flyers 2013 E-Jets Rally - Ottawa Hi Guys! Slowly making progress with the Tam Viper Jet build - Have had a bit of frustration getting main gear fuse door all hinged with offset hinges and getting them hooked up to single servo so they will open / close with ASSAN door sequencer. I had a much easier time with the front nose wheel retract, door and servo's - Used the tiller arm for stearing instead of the normal pull/pull. I Will be a happy camper when the gear is all finished all programed with sequence working up/down. PS: I think I heard JC test flew his modified Phase 3 F16 |
