Re: BeadLock RANT

my opinion, and i'm not a pro. you will more than likely have to balance your tires, think of a real car, unbalanced tires are HELL...

another quick thing, gonna need lots of room, i bet an non-beadlock, unglued tire would do 200km/h if you were to steadily ROLL onto the speed. don't just grab the throttle and go, start slow, and gradually work up to balls out. less chance of needing panic moves when the car gets out of hand.

And if the beadlocks aren't cutting it, you might need to go to a glue on rim. Maybe even try gluing onto the beadlocks to have them ultra secured.

I know that gets away from what you like about not needing glue for tires but if you wanna crank some serious speed runs....

Re: BeadLock RANT

I mean strapped as in tires belted.

Maybe i should switch to the hpi belted tires.....

Gonna get foam tires for sure though

Re: BeadLock RANT

When you say you're strapped front and rear, do you mean you've got the suspension strapped down for a lower CoG, or do you have the tires belted?

I ask because if you don't already, you should have your tires belted. That will reduce the ballooning and give you a better chance of keeping them on...

well depends how its interpreted. if someone puts 20k into a civic does it not make it a civic anymore? its still a civic in the end of the day.

i still am using slash suspension, chassis, drivetrain, (not original motor/esc) short course wheels etc.
