WINDLORD Request I plan to build a Windlord. This was a Ken Bates original design, a tailless sailplane. It will be modified to enable electric power. I will buy the laser-cut "partial kit" from Ray Hayes, (skybench.com) Ray does not sell the plans; he recommends going to AMA for them. These cost $19 from AMA, plus shipping (estimate $20), resulting in a totally unreasonable cost, plus several weeks to ship from Muncie (or wherever)! Now, I am trying to see if anyone may have a set of plans, or even an original magazine article which would likely contain the 1-page photo of the plans. That would be enough to enable me to build. I think that the September 1988 issue of Flying Models has what I need. Does anyone have either a set of plans (full-size or otherwise), and/or a magazine article that I could obtain? |
