Re: Swany's house kits re-read my post. Didn't mean to sound sarcastic. It's just I sometimes lose track of who's who when there are so many on here that I haven't met. There definitely isn't a lot of room to move things around in the wing. I ended up shoehorning in a lipo and reg. Figured it was useful weight at least. My 40 I ended up moving the engine back further in the mounts. guess I sould have tried to balance it out before the final mounting. The Mojos are one of the most tolerant planes I've ever flown regarding CG. I know guys who fly theirs an inch farther back than I do I'm thoroughly enjoying spending time with my son at the field and in the shop. He's 13 and the whole reason I got back into the hobby. |

Re: Swany's house kits Quote:
I have bought Joe a number of kits for me and him to work on, in the past few months. I have about 10 in the basement now... He may be a few years away from it yet, but hopefully not too many! AJC |

Re: Swany's house kits I'm sure it would be no problem for you. I forgot how much time you have spent in the hobby. Has Little Joe got his first airplane yet? Have a great summer. |

Re: Swany's house kits I know i was nose heavy, and i think i have enough previous experience to keep moving the cg back until it does fly more like i imagine it will - if that makes sense I have to get that larger one done before the end of the season... Little Joe is doing fine AJc |

Re: Swany's house kits Glad to see you finally got some air time on this one. Surprised you thought it didn't fly light. I have the 40 and 60 sizes and they fly like kites. Don't be afraid to move the CG back as the plan CG is a little conservative. I found mine didn't come alive until they were set up to be neutral in level flight upright and inverted. From there on they really come alive. Hope the little one is doing well. |

Re: Swany's house kits Well, it is July 3rd, and I finally went to the fioed to maiden the Mojo .25! In all fairness, it was only my 2nd trip tp our club field this summer, as the babyand work has kept me busy. The mojo flies well, it isnt as " light" as i expected it to be, but it was quite gusty. I flew it for about 30 minutes. The OS .25 ax has more han enough power and is ultra reliable. Great engine! It is also slightly nose heavy. I need to see about losing a little weight in the front end, maybe a wood prop over the apc, and getting rid of the aluminum spinner nut. Not much else i can do, but mount the battery externally behind the wing. AJC |

Re: Swany's house kits Well that explains why you haven't managed to maiden the plane. You have more important things to do! Congrats Spend as much time as you can with him. It's amazing how soon they grow up and head off to school. |
