Re: What type of system

Hi funtvrk,

The yellow prop one is a Telco. British made in the 70s ?

I have instructions for the one I had. I can mail them to you if you want. I should also have the filler, somewhere stashed away...

Mine went in a KielKraft SE-5 FF rubber stick and tissue kit. Caught a 'boomer' thermal, and was last seen heading over Lake Ontario...

Be very careful not to kink the fine copper tubing...

Take care,
Have fun,

Re: What type of system

I agree with the above.

The pump is a retract pump for larger aircraft landing gear. I haven't heard of anyone pumping the CO2 bottles with air, but I may be wrong.

The 2 motors are CO2 motors, with the reservoir atached.

To make it work you need a fill station. The one I have is orange and takes a 12g CO2 cartridge. You hook it up to the fill connector (orange connector on the motor on the right) and fill the reservoir bottle with it.
when you flipped the motor, away it went...

These motors were used in stick-tissue type free-flight models and ran for about a minute if you were lucky. Most models are converted rubber powered models, usually 8-20" models.

Re: What type of system

Definitely CO2 engines. The pump looks like something that is used for air retracts. What kind of Cox stuff did you find? Pics?

Re: What type of system

They are compressed air engines. I have seen similar ones that ran on Co2.

Mostly used in free flight but work well with small radio gear if you want a different sort of power system.

Re: What type of system

Yes they do. I also found some older nitro engines and a few older cox engines

Looks like an old Air hogs type of thing. Do they work?
