I ordered the EXI 450 kit and it came all warped up... tail boom bent and main gear wobbling.

Also their tracking info is crappy and never able to track even though you will pay through the nose for shipping.

I did get dinged once for a heli kit from customs at my door.

Good luck.
That would not have been customs/duty but brokerage and/or gst/hst, all rc is duty free as most toys are.

Re: X-Heli

Holy Moley, 128 previous complaints filed with BBB. the lowest rating of "F". I guess I won't even look at their web site.

Re: X-Heli

I personally suggest you stay away from x-heli. They have the worst BBB rating possible. Well known for doing things like "bait and switch", selling off used and returned items to people as new knowing they won't want to pay the return shipping... etc. telling you something is in stock when it isn't.

Re: X-Heli

Duty charges are unpredictable. Some companies I have ordered from have none and others have showed up at the door and want money. Its only happened to me twice out of the MANY times I have ordered from the USA. Its all personal preference and budget but in my opinion they sell the low end entry level crap. You can get better entry level stuff here in Canada.

Re: X-Heli

Did you get burnt by high shipping cost or duty charges?

Re: X-Heli

I did. They are fine if thats the stuff you want. The are affiliated with a couple different online hobby shops. I think hobbypartz is one of them.

Has anyone ordered from X-Heli.com? Have you been charged with a ridiculous amount of duty or other taxes? Are they reliable?
