Re: Ride along in my 33% AMR Cub

awesome. I just bought a 1/5 scale Cub for similar purpose: FPV flying with scale cockpit. Want to see if a big big plane is more fun and authentic than my 20 smaller planes (all FPV). First I want to cut out a lot of the plywood in the cockpit area and replace it with CF painted to look like real Cub tube framing. Will be electric, but with Aerosound and 4" speaker up front. 1/5 scale is about as large as suited to our flying sites here (one maac club, one private field)

Thanks a lot for the comments Glenn, I try to fly this one just like the full size cub. After all, it does look rather full size ish when putting by in the sky

Great Video, reminded me of my flying days. The turns where great , kept the nose on the horizon while not sitting in the airplane flying at height, a sign of a good pilot. Much enjoyed Jason, thanks.

Re: Ride along in my 33% AMR Cub

Thanks for the comments guys,

Ya Max, I'm setting up something to do exactly that. The cub interior isn't done yet. But when it's complete it will look pretty good seeing the dash and being able to pan out the windows. The thing flys so smooth. The plane it perfect for little airborne videos.

Great to hear you're making the trip down Peter, it's going to be a great show. I'm getting excited for it already. Keeping fingers crossed the long term forecast stays looking perfect for the weekend!!!

That was fun to watch.

If you feel like taking on a challenge, try this:
Mount the camera base to a servo and attach the servo via a Y connector to the aileron (or Rudder) channel. That way when you bank(or yaw), the camera looks in the direction of the turn. Would add a lot to the realism.
