Re: extra large rubber's What really fascinates me is the indoor ones that weigh just a few grams and are made of what looks like soap bubbles and spider webs. Those big props turn about 3 RPM, the planes just seem to hang there for ever and they steer them around by waving a piece of paper! |

Re: extra large rubber's I have built some of this stuff Merv but no where near the quality of the model shown. The other issue for me is finding enough room to fly the dang thing. It is a great sense of accomplishment even if you only get one successful flight. Bill |

Re: extra large rubber's That level of skill is way beyond comprehension for the average "pull it out of a box and plug it together" modern builder. My hat is off to the free flight guys. Not only do they cut out and shape every single piece that goes into those works of art, they design and trim in the flight path it will take in the air after release! Free flight is truly a level of consciousness higher than us RC guys. |
