Re: My Bird Makeover- Before and After Well finally started work on the refueling area. Looking pretty snazzy. I took a bit of creative liberty as I always do in my models. The lighting in my kitchen makes the dark gray refuel section (and numbers) look black but in real life it's a really nice subdued military gray color. Took me three tries to get this looking the way I really wanted. |

Re: My Bird Makeover- Before and After I'll be able to give exact numbers in a few days. I basically gutted the big bird and took out everything I could. Smaller packs. Lost the tail weight etc. I am hopeful but she's just big boned... Hell losing anything will make it better. The paint job added pretty much nadda so it's not an issue. Oh and on a different note. My landings...man oh man I was seriously doing everything wrong (ya ya I know stop yer laughing). I've been doing nothing but practice on my 1/12th which surprisingly fly's almost identical except lighter and I reaaaaallly need to get this bird in the air to see if the improvement crosses over to the 1/8th. Oh and I'm also in the process of fixing that wonky top hatch. Should be flush when I'm done. |

Re: My Bird Makeover- Before and After Last one for now. Time to put on the decals after this. I based the jet on the last picture but I did take a bit of creative liberty and changed a few things. I've still got a good number of things to do and I haven't decided if I want to weather it like in the photo (looks a bit too dirty to me) but we shall see. |
