Re: Micro Sabre from BananaHobby

I'm totally ticked off, I lost the connectors for the elevators and until I get some new ones it just ain't goin' to happen.
Probably wait until spring but it sure does look neet and REALLY blows.

I am just getting back into helis, but let me tell you for the cost and the fun, this looks like a wicked way to see if I would like flying edfs!

Re: Micro Sabre from BananaHobby

Just received the Sabre today from Banana Hobby.
I was REAL concerned when I got an email with a UPS tracking number. I had specified USPS on the order as I have heard horror stories about customs clearance charges from UPS.
Well, Purolator delivered my plane today. COD charges were $20.06, a big surprise. I guess it helped that Banana declared the value at $67.05 so HST was only $8.72.

As waylander has mentioned. Do a search on the US BBB and also search on RCGroups and youll see what I mean. Yes I did get the runaround a long time ago, but I dont even remember the situation. Its just been long know to the RC community that they are very bad at business. Save your self the trouble and money and buy from HK in the future.

Good luck anyway. Im sure your going to love your new jet. Let us know how everything goes.

If you watch the video on that link it gives more accurate info... They claim about 4.5 minutes of flying, not all WOT.

I'd agree with ordering from HobbyKing though, its much cheaper there.

BH reputation has been spotty. I wonder if their Canadian site "motherplaneRC" will be any better...

Have to agree, bananahobby does not have a steller reputation in the RC world. Do a search for them on the US BBB site sometime.

Trevor
I'm curious Trevor as to why this is the worst online site in the world.
Have you had problems with Banana in the past?
Maybe I jumped too soon and should have researched them here but it it what it is I guess.
If I have problems with them I'll be sure to put it on here.

I did consider the one from Hong Kong but this one seemed better to me.

Oh,well, we will see. Even if this becomes a hangar queen it is still my favourite jet.
