I agree.... not sure if it was this post or the twin otter one were someone posted a video with a large 4 engine bomber and the flyer did loops, rolls and other non scale flying and you could hear the announcer make comments of how great that " looked" . What a crock ! Screwed up the whole thing and I would have to give a minus zero for that pilot. When you build them scale they should be flown scale IMHO .

Yes ;if the people were not standing there ( 182) would be hard to tell from the real thing.

Nice to see some good video too. If it weren't for the dimwits standing out next to the runway to block the view every so often it would be perfect. Buddy on the stick did some sweet scale flying. And that landing, WOW!!

Yes isn't the sound of it something. Ran into that one last week and couldn't believe it.... almost as if he had a sound card in it !

Got the lights installed in the Cowl and now working on building flashing lights for my wingtips and top of tail. Everything is pretty much scratch built. Will try and get to Picks when I get time.

Here is a photo of the bulbs I will be using. Very good light . will try and work out a holder so they can be taken out for cowl cleaning or painting. Don't have to make any lens cover as the bulb will also double as the lens cover. My hole is the size of the lens and it will be held in as far as the metal flange with a small clamp from behind. Tried to take frontal picture close but can't get up close enough with my camera ; gets all blurry.
Cool, very nice! I never thought of those. That's like the ones I replaced the bulb in my Maglite with. I should have a couple old flashlights lying around that the socket could be stripped from too. In series a couple PR2 replacements would work great on the 6V battery I want to use for the rest of the lights.

What do you have for lights? I picked up a set but the diameter is way too big. I ended up ordering some white LED's with plans to fab some sort of lens.

Re: Top Flite Cessna 182 Arf

Latest improvements in main gear by using the ARF mains and wheel pants.
Now gives me at last 2 inch prop clearance. I may go with 1/4 inch smaller main wheels as I would like the rear sit a bit lower.

Next are the cowl landing lights to be installed.
