I still have a second KK board I want to use on an airplane. what config are you flashing onto your board for the aero mode?
Allot of details I'm using are base on progress that have gone on over on these two treads. Dave has created a aeroplane specific KK software with no arming and added the mix to flying wing configuration. I've added the diagram and porting for the vertical board for fuselage mounting specifics.

Here's my tread on RC groups: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1554249 I've updated the software that I’m currently running but there is a later version (OpenAero 1.

Here's Dave's tread with the latest info: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1568554

I will be upgrading the software in the future just no time lately.

Re: KK control aero mode

Here's the aerial video I shot on Sunday. The roll rate was a little high and my camera mount had a little play so the video was less than perfect but quality was good and based on the condition at this time I'm very happy. Unfortunately viewing from the ground she looked great. I've shimmed the camera mount, reduced the roll gyro rate and re-jigged the elevator control to add more throw.

Standard Aeroplane OpenAero KK control HK EPP FPV test flight was successful. Wind was low sky’s were foggy, the OpenAero sw performed excellent, we perform two test fwd and aft C of G operation.

Re: KK control aero mode

The Standard configuration is not the best for fix wing operation due to the dimension and orientation of gyros.

I mounted the board vertical arrow straight up this resulted in the need to swap channels to maintain proper gyro orientation.

Here's the flying wing setup with rudder optional.

The throttle channel must be connected to the both KK board and the ESC, I suggest a Y cable.
Arming is done by keep throttle at idle and Rudder over hard or in my modified configuration elevator down. If the board does not arm reduce throttle trim till arming can be achieved.

I've seen them little cheaper, but make sure you get the USB loader too. Later you can buy them seperatly but don't buy the HK ones with only 4 output ports.
