Re: 35% Exclusiv Modellbau Challenger III - BBT Tail feathers nearly finished already, what a joy to build compared to other kits and I get to use wood glue rather than CA which I'm very allergic to. I was doing the math, and turns out this is not actually 35% but really it's 40%

Re: 35% Exclusiv Modellbau Challenger III - BBT Bought a kit from Asif and hope to get started on it soon. I found a site that translates pdf documents, and I'm surprised it actually did a decent job for a direct translation. Some words are still German but sure makes it easier. |

Re: 35% Exclusiv Modellbau Challenger III - BBT Right on Anurag!! Congrats!! Mine came in closer to 32lbs which makes sense given the weight of 3W110xi and the canisters/headers. Even at 32lbs, it was a real floater! I started with CG per the instructions but ended up moving some stuff around to bring it aft a bit. Good luck - you are really going to enjoy this plane!! Video is a must Sir

Re: 35% Exclusiv Modellbau Challenger III - BBT Getting closer. The plane weighs at 30lbs dry. I don’t know if this is good or not. This is with stock mufflers though. What are your throws like? Maxed out? The recommended CG was as per the attached pic. Did you leave it here or did you go aft? Any advice before I go for the maiden? Thanks, Anurag |
