Great job guys great to see you guys made it back ok.an way to go.looks like the track is real tight hope the 8 scale do ok out there.is there any crusal parts of the track to look out for.my buddy mike & i are leaving later on tonight,so we can be at practice as soon as possilble.looks like its going to be a blast with some fast racing.this race should be another great learning experience for me.to all thats going drive safe.PS...watch out for state troopers..lol |

Great race to go to but yeah it is tough! You have to remember (for 2wd Mod at least) the A Main is pretty sewn up with the top factory guys, top half of the B main the lower factory guys and then from bottom of B to like E Main are all fast "hometown heros"...lol. If you look at times there are like 40 guys within a couple of seconds of each other. A lot of these guys race on clay day in and day out too so they don't have the steep learning curve we have to deal with. You do come back faster for sure though! I can't believe you guys didn't run 2wd as well to pass the time (or JB not even running!!!) |

GREAT job Steve and Abiye!! It is VERY tuff to go down there and race against guys who don't have to stop running all year and have set up down to a science on a track they run week in and week out!! You should be proud of your accomplishments as i know there were hundreds of guys down there!!

We're all back home safely now and it was a very fun weekend of racing! My final qualifier on Sunday morning was a little rough and ended up with a 14th on the round which wasn't going to put me in the A but a pretty solid starting spot in the hotly contested B Main (4th) which I was very pleased with! Abiye's final qualifier on Sunday morning went well and ended up with a 20th in the round but was too little too late after the 3 difficult runs he had on saturday so he ended up qualifying 8th in the C Main. Abiye had a good run in the C and finished 4th, and I had an ok run going in the B main until I made a mistake and broke my car. All in all it was a great weekend though. I had a ton of FUN at the race and left with a wealth of knowledge I definately didn't have going into the event. However that being said, WE NEED A CLAY INDOOR TRACK IN THE GTA!!! I'm happy with the way we did but its so tough to compete with the experience people have by racing on these types of tracks every week for years on end! |

We never got through all of qualifying today and had the final round pushed into the morning tomorrow. Abiye wasn't able to start round one as a result of some bad luck in the warm up, and the other two rounds were and I quote "typical CRCRC curse" aka "I stunk". So he is currently sitting at the bottom of the C looking for a good round tomorrow morning. I had a rough start to the day as I had a ball stud pull out in the first two rounds of the day. I had an okay run in round 3 and ended up 9th overall which is a good result for the qual points format, but I will need another good run in the morning to make the A. We've got an early start tomorrow and will be on the line at 8:00 for the last round (abiye and I will be the second race of the day when we start in the morning). |
