Blondi
Are you planning to keep the elderly sub that yopu recently bought, or would you be willing to sell it?

at our club up north we allow all types of aircraft regardless of what you fly,and now with membership on the decline at most clubs,it,s hard enough to get people to join ,by only allowing certain aircraft in a club is a good way not to have new members join.i can understand if the club is in a zone where noise is a problem or have a small field where they can accomedated certain aircraft then so be it.at our new feild we don,t have any noise restrictions and it,s one of the biggest fields around and can accomedate just about any type of aircraft regardless of type or size.oh ya and we allow any women to join regardless what they fly.

Personally i don't understand why clubs wouldn't allow or have a dislike for certain types of aircraft but it does happen nevertheless......

I was thinking the same thing. Other comments that other clubs are also similar really have me scratching my head! Why wouldn't a club want warbirds? They're no different from anything else except they take a whole lot of work to make look the way they do!

Alright guys, I've reopened the thread, hopefully we can stay on track and stop the personal attacks. Stick to discussing the topic, not each other please.

Re: Girls / not allowed at cornwall's club

You know what they say about assumptions... they make an "*&^" out of "u" and "me".

Unfortunately, what you wrote did not come across that way at all. People will rant about groups, governments...etc. all the time. Some legitimate and some not. We try to draw the line here when it comes to PERSONAL attacks which is how your post read, regardless of your intentions.

You're right, not everything you read on the internet is true, hopefully everyone is aware of that but it's not something we can control either. I think the reason the accusation was believable is because it would not be the first time it's happened, in RC or other places. Politics always come into play when you have more than 1 person doing something.

In the end, Blondie has moved on and decided on a course of action which makes her happy and has not posted in here in a while. Why don't we all follow her actions and just move on?

I'm going to lock this thread until the RCC Staff have some time to discuss. It may be unlocked or stay locked at that point but will give you all time to cool down while we discuss.

Re: Girls / not allowed at cornwall's club

Chester, I was just making a point. I think you can understand now that just because something gets said on the internet doesn't mean its true. I've not posted any accusations about you or groundhugger anywhere, nor would I ever accuse someone of something nasty for no good reason. I assumed the action I claimed to have taken would seem so ridiculous that everyone would know it wasn't true, I should not have made that assumption.

Regarding slander: If RCC is so concerned about slander that they will delete my post and award me an infraction for TALKING about slandering someone, may I suggest that in the future when someone starts a thread accusing an entire club of something as ugly as poorly treating and drumming out female members based on sex with no evidence whatsoever... don't let it go on so long that a posse begins to gather and make statements to the effect that silence on the part of the club is admission. Maybe don't let it happen at all?

I won't post on this thread anymore, as I feel it's gone in a totally useless direction. Sorry to anyone I offended. This thread should be closed

Lucky the comment are edited. But, anybody that is subscribed to the thread receives the original post. So reading the last part of the comment (now deleted) makes you as bad as the other in my book (sorry). BUT I do agree with you about the first part.
But like I said before if she think she was wronged and her wrights are violated, she should reporte it to the human wrights department.
On a further note.
About the club not responding to this post. I think they are very smart, because anything said in this post can be used against them in the future in court and any members of the club should restrain from putting any comments.
I love the way she takes things in her hand and tries to open another club and her idea of putting all RC, car, heli, plane, etc in one club plus making sure there is handicap access is a fantastic idea, but this will be a lot of work and I wish her luck. Hope you find people to help you, because this will be very challenging.
