Best part is everything I need to fly except TX in in there. I have spare wing bolts, and an extra power LIpo. I use a safety plug ( gutted connector ) on the Lipos. All the tools to assemble are there as well, screwdriver and allen wrenches. Its a big job to build one though and if your tail feathers are permanently attached the box gets huge. Coro has been used for making boxes too, just tape the seams with duct tape.
Very impressive design and box, gives me some great ideas for my project.
Thanks for sharing!

Or wait till the next election and there will be free ones on every street corner!

I solved the transport problem for the Mini Vapor!

Seriously though, some good ideas coming. Keep it up! I have been considering a roof rack crate for the car.

These would work great for the 4m glider, really long fuses. It looks like fishing rod holders.

One never regrets being prepared.I throw the Xtracycle in the van or back of the truck. It is a real pain to transport, don't think it would fit on a rack well due to the centering. I've used the bike to fly in town and even loaded the big Ergo 60 heli on it to fly at the pond down the street when its frozen well enough. Hopefully next year is much drier and I can drive a vehicle up the trail to go slope soaring in Collingwood. Can only fit so many planes on the bike.

Hi Jan how are you, it turns out the guy with the SUV travels with the rack and has space under for luggage and carries extras for repairs on the road, first time I saw it it was funny.

That is one cool box by the way.

You also carry your glider on your bike, saw the video, very cool spot. Where do you put your big bike, on the roof or hitch carrier? It is pretty long with that extension.

I made a box for my 4.2 m electric sailplane. I may have posted it before but here it is again.
