Re: Grand Opening - Orillia Aeromodelers New Field I was really pleased to be there. New fields like this are a perfect example of what can be accomplished with proper planning and total cooperation with Indutry, the various levels of government, and in Ontario ,the Trillium foundation. I am proud to say there was some interplay in the last year, between the executive of my home club in the Soo and the Orillia boys both clubs having total success in establishment of long term field locations. |

Re: Grand Opening - Orillia Aeromodelers New Field Hey Dennis, it was lots of fun. Had a great time. It was overwhelming to see so many club members and their family members attending. This is a good close knit familly of club members. Great field, and that huge shade tree in the pit area is sure a welcome part of the geography! I wish the club many years of enjoyment. See you August 21st for the next Fun Fly |

Re: Grand Opening - Orillia Aeromodelers New Field Yes Guys & Gals, it was as great turnout for our Grand Opening! We had people there from The Niagara Region Club, from Stoney Creek, Barrie and all points in between. Some notable attendees were our local Federal MP Bruce Stanton, Kevin McGrath - MAAC Vice President and Northern Ontario Zone Director, Bob Hudson our former Zone Director, our current Zone Director Clair Murray and our Severn Township Mayor, Mike Burkette and representatives from the local newspapers were there as well. The event was advertised on the local Orillia radio station Sunshine 89.1 FM , which brought out some members of the Public as well who were thrilled by demonstration flying of Radio controlled Aircraft, Helicopters, Scale aerobatics and aerobatic "U" control or Control Line flying. We in the Orillia club would like to thank all of the Pilots who attended from other clubs, as your participation certainly made our day a great success story. Regards, Dennis |

Re: Grand Opening - Orillia Aeromodelers New Field Hi Dennis: PDF's are limited to a certain size. Forget what it is, but that's what I found when trying a few times ---- capacity it's not very big. Somewhere on the screen it may tell you the size limits (when you go to load pictures/files/pdf's etc) ..... or a that the size limit has been exceeded. ------------ Just saw it when I went to send this note. It's 195.3kb Anyways, hope everone has a great time on Sunday. I haven't been to Orillia (an uncle of mine had a 100 acre farm there) since I was little kid -------- seems like about a hundred years ago. Happy flying!!!! Wayne |
