Thanks, everyone!

Now just wrapping up the loose wires and will check on the draw for the motor, then balance the plane.

I mount all my RX's with velcro. Works great, esp in those tight fuses where you can't get at the connectors. I have never had an RX come loose with this method and it has good vibration isolation.... not that it's a big issue with my electrics.

That's good advise!

I use industrial grade 2" wide peel & stick velcro for all my receiver and battery pack installations. Never use foam wrap. The velcro will not let loose. I crashed an 80" span plane nose down full throttle and smashed it to bits! The battery pack and Rx was still mounted with the velcro on the ply platform I made and did not let go.

Makes it easy also if you need to remove the battery pack and/or Rx for maintenance but it does take a bit of pulling to get it to break loose. Great stuff!

Receiver is the standard Futaba receiver that you get with the radio -- FP-R127DF.

Advise that I've received (no pun intended) from the EMFSO forums is to simply mount it using vecro.

Could use a smaller micro full range receiver if space is that tight. I would pad the receiver to give it protection from any vibration the electric would create as well as to give it protection if gravity wins out. What are you running for a receiver?

Receiver setup -- foram or not or maybe a little?

I'm almost finished the Escapade and noticed that the receiver setup shown in the manual is for an IC engine. I'm making use of a fullsized receiver and space is minimal.

Question: How does eveyone who builds the larger models (equivalent of a .45 or larger) set up the receiver -- do you skip the foam padding, or use a thinner one or is it the same as for a IC-powered model?
