Here's the other Turnbuckle that I bought from the Kingston auction. I repaired a few wing ribs, patched up the covering and installed a TT .46Pro with a Macs pipe. I hope they both fly well.

Looks good, Ken. Here's mine - Transparent red. Haven't maidened her yet, our field is still sopping wet. I bought another one at the Kingston auction, I'll post pics of that one later.

Looks like there's going to be quite a few Turnbuckles there. Should be a great FDFF. Cross your fingers for weather.

Hi guys

I posted my list of winter builds months ago so I wanted to update with my Turnbuckle" getting maidened - Its a short laser cut kit made from Rolly Seimonson of Kingston. Made mainly for the Kingston Fathers Day Fun/Fly event each year.

Plane flew great 3 clicks of down and was flying hands off. I hope to add a couple of washer behind motor mount to fix this.

PS: I Covered model with what I had on hand - The Purple looks great on ground but is hard to see up high in the air. Not a color I'll use again.

Re: This winters build projects??

I guess I can jump in here with pics of the Harvards Mk I and II. The MKII has a few flights on it now and goes blistering fast with the 2-blade. Still have to try it with the 3-blade to see if performance suffers too much.

I have a build thread on the Mk I covering all that was necessary to take it from a wall display to hopefully airborne. This included a near complete rebuild of the tail surfaces, along with reskinning the lower wing and installing retracts, split flaps and landing lights. Had it out for engine tuning and taxiing a week ago and everything turned out fine. The new retract legs are much stronger, eliminating the drunken sailor waddle the originals displayed. Only things required to complete are the wing joint covers, (haven't figured out what to use there yet) and painting. Already spent close to $100 trying to match the Ultracote Cub Yellow with lousy results and they don't sell their paint here in Canada.
