I do however find the 200 easier to fly and my confidence with it is high. So high that somehow I ended up with a second on I saw for a stellar deal. Not needed but I guess a part of that addiction process in going through like everyone else lol |

Re: New to Rc Yup my wife was learning to hover my 450 Trex. I decided to get her a quad to ease the learning curve. She was able to fly and hover the quad (without stab) BUT WHEN SHE WENT BACK TO THE HELI SHE STRUGGLED just trying to hover. She has not touch the quad since. |

Re: New to Rc Completely agree with Rick! Go with the 120sr fixed pitch first to learn to fly all orientations, you can find these pretty cheap rather than the 200 size fixed pitch that will cost a lot more. You will out grow a fixed pitch heli in a short period of time, so dont put a bunch of money into them. Also, a flight sim is essential! I would not go with a quad, they don't fly quite the same as a heli. They also look a lot different in the sky and you lose orientation easier due to the " + and X " design of the frame. I would then move to a small collective pitch heli from there like a Nano or something. And like Rick said, you will basically learn to fly all over again when moving on to CP. Everybody chooses a different path. Some choose the hard way and some the easy way, some the expensive way and some the cheaper way. Its up to you with whatever you decide. The beauty of it is that you have a herd of addicts here on RCC / Helifreak and RC Groups that love helping new people into the hobby and make it a duty to have every pilot in the air asap when crashes or issues occur. Well, get prepared to sell everything in your house that's not RC to buy more RC, and making cash purchases that the wife doesn't know about!! Your gunna love it! |
