I absolutely agree with Dean. A big thank-you and snappy spit-and-polish salute (British, American or Boy Scout) from all of us here at RCGroups.

Re: Time to Retire:)

I retired at 64 (military service was long, long behind me) and as a previous poster put it, you only THINK you will have time to do all kinds of things you want to. From personal experience, I find life keeps getting in the way. Mind you, my wife and I do get to take off now and then on a small adventure, and it is nice not to have to worry about kids and work schedules too much.

And thanks for your 22 years of service. Enjoy your new life, but don't let yourself get stale.

My family and I will be heading back to our hometown area(Niagara Falls) in order to begin the next chapter in our lives. We are looking forward to being close to our respective families and reconnecting with old friends. As well as making new ones
The military has been a great experience and I had alot of great times and worked with so many wonderful people.

Flying will take a backset for the next little bit but I look forward to getting hooked up with the club in Niagara. I do not however look forward to packing up my planes and hobby room...
yikes!!!

I will also miss the comradrie and just plain fun I have enjoyed with my fellow fliers at the Algonquin Aeromodelers field in Pembroke. A great bunh of guys and I hope to make it back up for some of their Funfly's.

At 46yrs old the word retirement sounds a little strange....
Good luck in your future venture's bud.
After you get settled in, pull out a plane, find the nearest flying club and continue making friends in this fantastic hobby!

Well done Paul!
One thing I'll warn you about this retirement thing; All those stories about how you will have time to relax and enjoy your hobbies are all LIES!!!
My daughter and S in L are in Borden now, but I have fond memories of flying at Algonquin club,a very nice layout.
Good luck, and thank you for your service.
