The food issue.....can you really blame them?? and if you are on a special diet, I am pretty sure the are willing to accommodate you. There is been lots of racers helping others with parts and no issues that I am aware of (just don't go there with the intentions of selling). You must remember they are a business, not a club, not charity a business. |

I say some one get a traveling race schedual going, each week at a new track. week 1 @ Uni Raceway, week 2 @ Hamilton, week 3@ Northern etc... that would keep every one happy as well as the track owners IMO |

Really? Honestly I think I'm at the track more than anyone and am there several days throughout the week. The track is battered in spots, from the 8th scale, but it is not a hazard. They plan to replace chunks of carpet when the change the layout this week. I drive my Kyosho RB5, which they carry no parts for, with 8th scale cars on the track almost every day. The 8th scale drivers are very respectful and are very aware of the destructive power and force of their cars. If you swerve in front of one you can say goodbye to your rear end, but if you allow them by you're fine. If you see one coming be smart and move over. If you bring a meal to the track I imagine they would ask you to leave. The sell plenty of snacks and drinks on site so it makes sense to keep outside food outside. Coffee and tea are fine. As for parts I guess it depends on the circumstance. This is a business and racer to racer deals should not be done in a way that affects their business. Take it outside the track or before you get there. A lot of guys are use to dirt tracks where there is no store. This track has a store. The staff and owners are doing well for their first month. Share your experience with the Louie directly. Plus they have a suggestions board on the front desk. Every concern I have had has been addressed. |

| mttripley | Id like to eventually head down to universal for a event one time, but hearing some of the horrir stories like track is being torn up pretty good, 1/8 buggies taking out 1/10, drivers.. being kicked out for outside food, driver getting into trouble for helping out another driver with a part.... thats what rc'ing is all about, i understand that there is a part store there, but to be scolded for helping out a fellow racer with a part... doesnt sound like a relaxing enviorment to enjoy myself at... i dont know, if these are untrue, then maybe one day ill give it a go. | |

Matt is right, Northern RC is a Great little track to run at and BBQ lunch's rock. I have been in to Big Boys a few times in the last week or so and have to say that the service was fine. the gent (Dom, I think) at the counter was more then willing to search for the parts I was after and at the track, the service was almost the same. The new guy (Chris formaly from RC sports) more then made up for the lack of effort for the other two behind the counter.... |

Northern Rc in barrie has a pretty good set up going as well for there indoor carpet off road track, lil smaller, but decent layout and fun to drive and the owners are awesome ppl and friends, along with our drivers that show up for practice and race day wed and sunday a great bunch of guys.... check it out..:P gotta support local Every track has their problems, but then fixing it is the next step the kinks worked out on a timely manner where ever it may be so we all can enjoy our hobby/sport. |

P.S I'm hoping with the new changes that universal raceway dose have a prosperous succsess..for all of us and maybe consider touring car for the upcomming season (wink wink) thanks to everyone in front and behind the scean who made this possible for the GTA |
