Performance is out of this world compared to Nitro. I have conversion pictures I meant to do a build thread on. Might still do it soon.

I think I over did-it. Went from 15" Master Airscrew to 18" electric. 2x 5 cell packs for 10S power. Nitro take-off was about 50'. Electric take-off is 10'..LOL

I **LOVE** this model in electric.
Hi Max,

I have thought about electrics but that's a big investment for me. I could definitely see how you would have a considerable less difficult time installing an electric in that confined cowl space. With the nitro engine, did you have to modify the firewall? I have done the math (and geometry) to put a 2 stroke 75ax in there and you either have to do some stretching of the cowl and/or reworking of the firewall and fuel tank. I'm still staring at the drawings and attempting to figure out a best approach. Electrics would be nice but I have to go old-school.

thanks

Hi Jason,

That's too bad that you got that far into building it, to then stop. Plans rarely, if ever, cover all bases, what was major issue that stalled your progress? It would seem that getting the fuselage built was the most complex hurdle; and building the wings would seem like gravy to me after putting that tail section together?

I'm looking at putting an OS 75AX in mine, but the cowl will have to be stretched to accommodate it.

Thanks

I completed the fuselage, however found that the short kit wasn't that well matched to the plans. I ended up abandoning the project.

Hi julien,

Just starting on the same plane, were you able to complete yours? Any words of wisdom?

Ok...got it jigged up...going to fit the formers ...Notice that I haven't glued the tail end former as want the 1/4' square frames to be able to adjust themselves as I square up the fore portion of the tail...
