I am wondering Mike if the older versions may not be quite as refined. The newer versions seem to have much better timing curves in the ignition and although I haven't seen inside the newer ones I'm betting there's better internals and balancing as well. Nothing wrong with the oldie though!! |

Re: Testing the New ZDZ112 RVj Not sure... I've never run a 120 before. I think they were powerful but I recall reports of them being very heavy. |

Re: Testing the New ZDZ112 RVj Hmmm. Now I wonder about the ZDZ 120B2RV......could it give all the refinement and throttle response of the 112 with the power of the GP? |

The only thing it doesn't have is the Brute power of the GP and 3W. Unfortunately the 3W is quite heavy. The DA is now mediocre at best. The GP comes with exceptional service. The ZDZ is probably bottom of the rung for parts availability. So which of the GP/ZDZ do I like the most? I honestly can't decide!! Probably would take the ZDZ112 as my favorite, but very much on the fence!! Give me another 3-4 months of running them both and I'll report back in!! Trev |

Re: Testing the New ZDZ112 RVj So Trevor, if the cost was not a factor, would your next "100-class" engine be the ZDZ112, the 3W110Cs, the GP123 or something else? Maybe you'd choose each one for a different kind of application, like one for IMAC, a different one for 3D etc.? |

Re: Testing the New ZDZ112 RVj Here it is !! ZDZ-112 ES 55 Composite pipes Pilot RC Extra 330 ( 29 lbs dry ) Falcon 28x9 wide The zdz 112 really likes the 28x9 wide. The engine picked up a few hundred more rpm over the 29x9. Put the pull and thrust is noticablely stronger But Trev and I both agree that the 28x9wide won't be enough prop for a DA120 or GP123. It is borderline to small for the ZDZ112. It will rip very easily. Trev never let it go during the video Trevor can give more details
