Re: MAAC insurance claims This is not a scale aviation where all incidents and accidents are published. Model aviation is a top secret in respect of insurance and accidents. |

Re: MAAC insurance claims Generally speaking, I'd say that on an annual basis you'd normally not have to take your socks off even if you started counting with your toes. |

Re: MAAC insurance claims As usual this topic has swerved off the road. As the title indicates, the thread is about "MAAC Insurance Claims". Product reviews (good or bad) can be found on a lot of on-line retail sites, and every RC forum. I would doubt that annually, you wouldn't have to take your socks off to count the number of valid insurance claims by MAAC members. |

Re: MAAC insurance claims If your items caused crashes due to malfunction in the air and this would not include engines quitting as a person could land dead stick. This would be more along the line of electronic failures like transmitter-receiver failures, servos , wiring connections from say vibration and mechanical failures due to fatigue or incorrect assembly at the field. |

Re: MAAC insurance claims If you are interested in a certain product go to banggood.com, find the product, go to the bottom of the page and you will find buyers reviews of the product. I purchased a small bind and fly heli off Ebay. I have seven small heli's from 7" to 27". It would not bind to any of the transmitters plus I tried three of my friends and it would not bind to them either. It would be nice to be able to go somewhere for this kind of info. I recently joined Angus Reid Forum and they send out a multiple choice questionnaire once a week. Something like this would probably work. I have four coffee cans full of junk engines. It would have been nice to know the general opinion before I bought them. |

Re: MAAC insurance claims Some very valid points here. Just a quick update, I was not able to make it to the zone meeting due to work scheduling but I did Email our Zone Director prior to the meeting stating my intention to volunteer for the safety committee. I stated my reasons why and what I would have liked to accomplished as we have discussed on this thread. No response to date. |
