Ya tuned pipe is the way to go, but I'm moving to Kelowna & canister is a must for the field there.

Some canisters restrict as well one for sure can't remember if it's the mtw. I only have one can on the go and it's the EME can on my eme 60. It's actually getting better numbers then stock exhaust. Not sure how their 35cc can performs. It's mostly for noise restrictions they don't generally give you better performance like a tuned pipe will.

Re: Aeroplus 30cc Sbach build

Thanks Brodie, wasn't sure what numbers I should be looking for, so glad to hear I'm in range. Motor has plenty of power so I think this combo will be a good match with the air frame. I'm running a canister, not sure what brand it is.

Found this for you only one test number on stock exhaust 20/6 if prop 7400 so 20/7 at 6800 is pretty close and I didn't look to see if you had a pitts muffler or stock. Pitts will hamper your numbers some. Depending on the brand of pitts

Re: Aeroplus 30cc Sbach build

That's not bad numbers. My eme 35 sling the cf falcon 20/7 at 7400. Elevation plays a factor as well. In the air the Motor will unload and go over your ground reading. 6800 on the ground could be over 7400 in the air. If your motor likes the prop and you like how it performs then its a good fit

Re: Aeroplus 30cc Sbach build

So I fired up the engine to spin the new prop. Seems fine, sounds good but I'm only getting 67-6800 max rpm out of a max rating of 9000 for this engine, so not surprising that it felt slightly over propped with the 20x8. I have a 20x6 also, but I think I will like this 20x7.

"TOPDAWG" who has these engines, actually recommends a 19'' prop.

If our dollar ever gets back up I think I will buy another one for back up, cause it sure runs nice

No problem any questions feel free to ask. That's what this forum is all about. Wish I would have caught your build earlier

Great tip, thanks Brodie,

And thanks for the comment on the flight vid, I was starting to relax and enjoy the second flight. Can't wait to get some more flights in.
