Need help programming new Genesis Boat

Hey everyone! I am new to rc's and recently bought an HK Genesis. The setup I'm starting with is:
-2x2S Turnigy nanos 25C-50C 3000mAh wired in series
-Turnigy Marine 120A esc with bec
-HK-T4A V2 4ch remote(not pistol) & 6ch receiver
-Turnigy programming card

I "attempted" to use my card after reading the instructions, and the thing never powered up... Maybe a dud? Most likely my inexperience.

Anyways, I'm hoping to find an experienced hobbyist in or near North Bay that wouldn't mind helping a newbie learn how to program an esc with a card or the old fashioned way with remote. I am more than willing to travel and pay for assistance within reason.
