Egads, the pilot is probably coughing up dust!

Still, I have to hope the flying season isn't over yet! You should still have time.

Winter is awesome. Flying off skis in the backyard is so cool, literally.

PS- what's wrong with ski's in December ??
I hope you are right Max....But out here it could "snow and stay" anytime. Lost all faith in the weather this year. Some of the "old boys" here are saying that the snow will be here to stay at the end of Sept. I hope they are wrong for the farmers' sake!

As far as skis on the old Phaeton... nawww...the old hands don't like the cold too much anymore. By the time I get a nitro fueled, fired up and tuned, my hands are numb.

My winter flying is limited to the 3 lekkies now, slap in a battery and presto... instantaneous flying!!

You never know though.... last year after a very lousy October, we had a fantastic, warm November... may still have a chance to fly the old girl yet!!

Cheers

Re: Except for one....

I almost have my mojo ready to fly, just have to mount the motor and balance it. Do to work I can only fly on week ends and this summer it has been raining or the winds have been 25 KMS or more.

Re: Except for one....

If you don't fly them you can't crash them. It will still be there next spring. I managed to get all of my planes into the air at least once, with only one casualty, the Showtime 90. The T-rex 450 was just a conversation piece. Not sure if I will ever get that thing in the air. Maybe I should hang up my MOJO so it will still be airworthy next season. It's highly unlikely that I will get the Primo built this winter and I'm loving my Swany planes.

Except for one....

Well, even with all the crappy weather this year, I managed to get all my planes into the air at least once (15 nitros and 3 lekkies).

EXCEPT FOR ONE, my kit built Balsa USA Phaeton 90. Don't know how I overlooked it. I was in the garage today installing some new overhead doors and openers, when I looked up, saw it just hanging there, nicely covered up and it dawned on me that I probably will not get time to get the old warhorse into the air this year. This is the first time since I have been flying that this has happened.
It almost feels like I have let the old bird down somehow.

I may just have to take it down, clean her up and at least start and run the TT.91 4st just to let her know I still care about her and have not forgotten about her totally!!

Cheers and happy flying
Curt
