Re: WW 1 Squadron Colours

bjh,

Thanks for the link, the serial number on the Sopwith Pup is N6203 and one of the Pups that my Grandfather flew was N6206. That is very close and could certainly be used as a reference.

Re: WW 1 Squadron Colours

Not sure if this will help but the link below points to some RNAS schemes posted on the Britmodeler site. The scheme #4 says it was from Dunkirk July 1917.

Sounds like a great project you're working on.

Don,

Thanks, I was going to try there as well but thought that I would start with RC Canada.

WW 1 Squadron Colours

I have recently acquired a kit, Balsa USA, for a 1/4 scale Sopwith Pup which I would like to finish in the colours of the Squadron that my Grandfather flew in during WW 1. My Grandfather flew with the RNAS (Royal Naval Air Service) Seaplane Defence Flight, Squadron 2 and Squadron 4 out of Dunkirque, France in 1917. I have copies of pages from his flight log which show the numbers of the specific planes that he flew so information related to specific planes would, if available, be even better.

Any specific information on the Squadron colours or that might help me find the colours would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris
