Now to make that happen in the bag, and then repeat in the bag while in an ammo box!

(Just trying to keep my insurance down! LOL)

(now there is another topic as well)

WOW, that was a lot more than I had expected out of that Lipo.
LOL

yeah, a 13.6v maintenance charger (low amps typically) will take a long time to cook that thing off. Too close to the charged voltage (3 cell I think I saw?). nicad chargers are cheap and I'm sure there's plenty of them in people's junk drawers. A nicad charger will give it whatever volts it needs to push current into the cell (I think, anyway). More information:

The comments say the guy used a nicad charger, and on a 2S battery the termination voltage was 10V when it lit off. He used 5.5A and it took 20 minutes to cook off.

Car charger originally, but more of a maintenance charger :/

It IS possible that the battery was weaker. Especially now! But, fire needs oxygen, and even with holes, the oxygen would be limited. I know that the bags aren't sealed, but that's still part of how they work. Once the battery starts to "go", it will burn up most of the oxygen and push the rest out.

Maybe, a video with one inside, and one outside of the bag to see the difference. I'm not suggesting ruining batteries needlessly. Just a thought.

According to the charger, battery was almost 100% full. And we did charge at 10amps and I seen the meter increase. Also in the salt water it was discharging for some time still.

I suspect technique was the cause of no flames & explosions... thankfully so since now there is no video of us running away like girls. lol..

Test must be redone!

I'd have to say it looks like the bag was doing its job though. Thanks for the video. Nice attempt. It's nice to know that it won't be too easy to get worst case scenario results.
