Thanks for the quick reply Dave. Hopefully I'll find the same when I get a channel rx.

Thanks again.

Re: Need Help Programming my DX7S for my Scimitar

Roger,
Sorry I don't have the file. I did this for a local modeler at the beginning of summer. I do remember it was fairly straight forward with a 7ch. Rx and only took a few minutes to completely program the whole plane including all the mixes. With the 6ch. Rx I spent over an hour with only frustration...

Re: Need Help Programming my DX7S for my Scimitar

Thanks Dave. I looked and my receiver is the Spektrum AR6210 so I'll be looking for a 7 channel receiver now. In addition, would you be willing to send me your Scimitar setup file from your DX7s transmitter. That way I could just load yours and be almost ready to fly. I would greatly appreciate it if you could. Thanks in advance.

Re: Need Help Programming my DX7S for my Scimitar

I strongly suggest that you separate the thrust vector from the rudder, thay way you can steer with the rudder while the thrust vector feature is turned off. Once in the air you can activate the thrust vector feature. This makes take off and landings much much easier. I put a scimitar together this summer with the dx7. But to this you will need to upgrade the reciever from the 6 channel that came with it to a 7 channel. The Manuel does talk about this but after searching the net and talking to pilots who flew this plane that it what i learned. I found trying to program with a 6 channel reciever very frustrating. But very easy and straight forward with a 7 channel reciever.

Thanks Dale. I think I follow. I'll give it another try.

Cheers!

If anyone else has experience programming the DX7s to the Scimitar I'd like to hear from you.

Thanks

Re: Need Help Programming my DX7S for my Scimitar

Roger, hope this helps get you where you need to go.

In your instructions, it is very important to follow the port assignment to each wing servo.

I do not have a DX7, but have helped many J.R glider pilots with programing. This seems to be the common stumbulling point.

Hope this might help,

Need Help Programming my DX7S for my Scimitar

I desparately need help programming my Spektrum DX7s to use with my E-Flite Scimitar. If you can help me, please let me know.

EFlite provides programming for the DX8 and Scimitar but not the 7. In addition, I don't have very much experience with programming these new radios.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Roger T.
