Re: Phil Thomas SS21 build cool. ya the castle canister isn't smoothe enough for a jacket. glad you have one coming. The .150 is what I upgraded to on a mono from the RTR's .130 , took me the longest time getting familiar with all the other related size upgrades like to the stuffing tube, the teflon liner, the strut, coupler, motor shaft, propshaft, haha. slow and steady was and is stl my methode wether I like it or not. luckily I do. |

imported_fusion | I didn't want to buy the water jacket for the castle motor as I plan to use it on a buggy. And the Poseidon already comes with one. The flex shaft is a .150 shaft for 3/16 props. |

Phil Thomas SS21 build I've had this hull for years slowly looking at how others have built theirs and so here is my take on it. This is a work in progress and I plan on ordering another and leaving this one as a guinea pig. The motor is a castle 1515 2200kv but soon to be replaced by a Poseidon 1515 of same KV. It's using a seaking 180 esc with extra cap bank soldered and right now I'm running a grim Reaper 45L prop and also have an M445. I've ordedred an M640 as I'm finding the 45mm props are pushing too many amps and my batteries can't take it. I use 30C 2S hard packs in series and the plastic starts to melt. Don't mind the paint job...It's temporary until I have the boat running well.
