Re: tamiya bruiser

i have to agree with you they were probaly looking at the prices on ebay and seeing how ridiculous they are and yes trying to cash in on it..good luck to them even some of the people on ebay what they are asking for some of there vintage r/c is crazy if it is vintage then for sure you will find it hard to get parts for it so it will sit on the shelf i'm not one of those people i like to enjoy my toys..all of them ...some i am a little gentle with

Re: tamiya bruiser

I think Tamiya is trying to cash in on the popularity and price that the original bruiser is selling for now. Of course, having the original vs a re-release is still going to have its collectible value.

While it's probably worth say $600 or so (considering the current pricing of their tundra highlift), I would certainly not pay over $1K for it.

Re: tamiya bruiser

one thing I noticed is the new tranny has plastic gears and my original has all steel and brass. i think that is why I like the original so much. I actually picked up a fullsize 1982 Toyota SR5 and put an 1980 front end on it. I painted it to mach the bruiser LOL. Unfortunatly the bruiser was built better and outlived the fullsize

Re: tamiya bruiser

well i agree but according to the buzz it is supposed to have some upgrades to it ,i'm thinking probably whatever issues plagued the model should be worked out but i agree in this economy people are looking for value for their dollars ...for that price it better drive me to work everyday or do something extrordinary
