Re: Spinner Backplate Question

Thanks guys, appreciate the suggestions. Darn 5 inch spinners are expensive and I had hoped to just get another backplate but got stymied because it is the first non-Tru Turn I have used and this company won't sell just backplates.

Re: Spinner Backplate Question

Like Jack, I have bushed a prop. Only three bushings, worked well.
Hope this helps.

Re: Spinner Backplate Question

Bill... I drill all my props and spinners for this class to 6mm so that I can use them on either 5mm or 6mm style motors since there is such a variety of configs. Never had an issue.

Perhaps that's wrong to do that, but works for me.

I had also wondered about re-drilling the back plate with the 5 mm hole pattern in between the 6 mm holes. Kind of a "lightened back plate" approach.

I tried to buy another backplate, but unlike Tru Turn this manufacturer won't sell a backplate separate from the spinner. Original plan was to get another matching backplate and drill it to the 150 pattern and size.

Could buy a whole new spinner but at $170 bucks it gets expensive.

I'm sure there's others here that have done the same.
