Re: Battery Charging questions

Some women are not very supportive of the hobby, they see it as grown men playing with toys. You could remind her that women love their toys too, they wear them. Big girls don't outgrow playing dress-up.

Re: Battery Charging questions

Hi, I have a Speedpack 1800mAh 7.2V 6-Cell Ni-MH battery and a electrix RC charger output is 9VDC 300mA. What is the charge time to fully charge it?

Congrats on your first maiden.

But what is with the camera? I have never had to watch a video that looked like I was peering through a slit in youtube. Is that normal for that type of camera, or is it one of those "landscape-portrait" type of things where if you rotate the camera it rotates the picture?? If so, you need to turn it 90deg..

Good maiden - obviously your sim work has paid off. . . . I plan to maiden my first real electric (I have been flying for close to 30 years) this week (also a 4C battery) so hopefully I will do as well. . . Cheers

Re: Battery Charging questions

Yes I made sure that the charger said slow charge and balance before i started the charge. I am just a bit new and don't really understand fully some of the lipo stuff yet. I have been flying sim for a couple years but only now am getting into real flying. Thanks all for the help and information. I am now going to maiden my brand new yak 54 Wish me luck! Soon to post a maiden video!

Re: Battery Charging questions

Better safe than sorry but once you understand the procedures for charging there is no reason to feel like you are charging a bomb in your basement.

Keep an eye on things while charging but don't get to paranoid.
