Alan I may be able to make that weekend. I suggest you talk to the Calgary Soaring Soc. Gliders are a great hands on experiance for interested youth.
Looking forward to meeting you, and Gordon, of Coronation fame! He-he. The only place I spred one this year aswell!
Waiting for the good Wife to rise," don't wake me until 6", then off to the BIG pig roast at Elk Point. A great time!

Hi Dale,

Thanks for the lead, I'll be following up with the Soaring club! And if you can make it to our fun fly that would be great, the more the merrier.

BTW - Gordon is practically famous around here as well!

Great video for the Calgary Fun Fly September 24/25

One of our members put this youtube "commercial" together, I think he did very well - Thanks to Mike Berends!

Maye this will help entice some more people to attend! Shows a bit of our field and couple of our hot doggers.

Just to add to Alan's post: This is going to be a great fun-fly with MANY different sizes and types of planes on display and in the air. 40% Aerobatic demos, scale planes, combat, hotliners, turbines and possibly even a turboprop Yak! Fun pilots events and lots of flying for everybody!

Please put this event on your calender and help support the Calgary Boys and Girls club!

Check out the Video!!! Calgary Fun Fly September 24/25

Anyone in the Calgary area the weekend of September 24th/25th, please come on by the CRAMS field for a fun fly! We have some great planes and pilots lined up for some demonstration flights and are hoping for a great turn out, both by pilots and spectators. The BBQ will be going and there is on-site no-charge camping available (dry/no service).

We are going to be doing a little fund raising for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary and they will be bringing out some kids to watch and learn about RC aircraft. We are also asking pilots and spectators to voluntarily make any donation to help these kids out, many are from broken homes and have little so anything is helpful. We are also hoping to have some money raised by putting on some some fun pilot contests (for prizes) and charging a small "entry" fee for them.

I welcome any ideas on some good, fun "events" or "contests"!
Anyone with ideas or wanting more information please PM me and we'll see how it goes!

See www.crams.ca for our field location.

Thank you.
