Re: Skymaster F16 / JC Mammoth Hi Bill I have had John do several sets of Gear for me, and all were as Trev Says STELLAR. Give him a call, and he will work with you. Just dont expect them to be done quickly. John takes his time!! |

Re: Skymaster F16 / JC Mammoth Absolutely Bill. Just go onto his website (link above) and get in contact with him. I'll warn you --- don't expect it fast. May be quicker than Sandro's, but this set was 6-8months. But a reasonable price and quality out the wazzoo. I also noticed last night that Matrix's design does not rely on the nosegear or maingear links to prevent the gear from folding and most will fold if you do not have airpressure. John's design has cool geometry so that the actuator pin actually locks so the gear cannot fold (like how most standard gear work). It takes airpressure to unlock the pin before the gear will fold up. Stellar. |

If we wanted to get a set of gear for the same airframe are the folks at Matrix capable/willing to make additional sets for sale? Bill |

Re: Skymaster F16 / JC Mammoth Woohoo!! After a little over 6 months, Sandro's Matrix landing gear arrived for the SM F16 yesterday http://home.earthlink.net/~matrixmt/ Absolutely nothing wrong with the stock SkyMaster Gear, however this new gear is phenomenal. I really wondered why he wanted this fab'd up, but after seeing it and checking out the geometry, it's a phenomenal set We sent down the SkyMaster gear to John M in Rochester and he fab'd up this new gear with the same dimensions and slightly bigger wheels. In a couple weeks, once a few other projects are off the table, I'll get back into this F16 and finish it up Congrats Sandro... nicest gear I've seen in quite a while |

Re: Skymaster F16 / JC Mammoth LOL!! I have to change my camera to wide angle first... this F14 is absolutely massive!! We set it up in my shop for the first time tonight and I could see the beads of sweat running down Sandro's forehead about the size of it ... he was muttering the words "what did I get myself into", LOL He's gonna need a 50' trailer to cart the A10, F16 and the behemoth F14 around this summer Pictures Friday night |
