Why RCC always gotta be a soap box? I am hardly ignorant in any way but thanks for the tips. I realize the guy is thankfull, GREAT as am I but I suppose it just erks me when someone always has to bring in God or some religion stuff or other buisness into a hobby forum, that's all don't read to much into it for pete sakes! I have several friends and family who are religous they can celbrate their faith and beliefs at church!

The post said "SMALL GRIPE" did it somehow translate to "HUGE BITCH" fest? NO it did not, I suppose I am alone and everyone just accepts anything these days that's great, no wonder the rest of the world can look at us as pushovers and sheep, seems to be a fakin reality. Rant over close this thread someone so a small gripe doesen't need to go past the huge pick on a small gripe, complaint if you will crap, bajebuz!

Thanks to those that gave an answer on options instead of complaining about my complaint lol, the dollar store one I liked and will source that out.

Re: Small gripe about MAAC cards

One option would be for MAAC to give out ONE plastic, permanent card to each member when they first register. It's just identification anyway...if you don't renew, you don't carry the insurance or get the magazine etc. If a person decides to "cheat" and carry the card to the field without renewing, they do so at their own explicit risk - i.e. if anything goes wrong, they not only do not have insurance but would be subject to a fine from MAAC and possible legal action if necessary...and even if nothing goes wrong, would be subject to fines if proven to not have an active membership. IMO this would probably save money in the long run.

Gentlemen,
As I stated, there was no disrespect to the author, I was just
stating a view that I see a lot, and that is as AJ and LGM said, that we
have it pretty good relative to all considered, when we can and have the
ability to grip, no matter big or small, about something like this.
Hey I do that too, more than I would like to admit, and I have to bring myself
back around a lot.
As for the God thing, I do belive in God and I am not ashamed to say
that do thank Him for everything that I have. But that is my choice and I do
not judge or condem any one else for their choice to belive or not.
So lets all get back to the buisiness of flying the pants (wheel pants?) off
of our planes!

Somebody says that they give thanks every day for where they live and the fact that they are in a place they can enjoy a hobby like this and you call it strange and almost overboard? That's ignorant.

I'm not religious, I don't believe in God, but I totally understand the gentleman's comment. I'm thankful for where I live and the fact that I can enjoy the hobby of RC as well. My life is not without problems, but everyday there is something that could be worse.

Even though I'm not religious, I think that scale freak's comments were dead on the money. If life is moving along so well that you can complain about your MAAC card not being laminated then things are pretty damn good. I could go on and on about things to complain about, but my MAAC card would be so far down on the list it wouldn't even rate.

Just my opinion.

That would work great also.

I use stone protection film that is used on autos. Super tough and still remains flexible!

I do as someone above mentioned, just use clear packing tape to make it

Well said. I got the biggest eye opener last year when I travelled for two weeks in Croatia, where my mother and father are from. The way some people still live there (relatives of mine) would certainly make you appreciate what we have here in Canada. Even the "poorer" folks here have it pretty well, all things considered.

But, we tend to complain about the small issues when there isnt anything else to complain about. Its human nature I guess...
