Re: God I hate this CA stuff!! Ah.Ca glue.. such a fun time at the building board. I have had a few... incidents with the stuff, the best is years ago, while building a J3 cub, I was going over the entire wing, making sure all the glue joints where strong. It was summer, so it was warm out, was working in shorts. Well, needless to say, large wing, drying medium ca glue, hairy legs..  I had a huge bald spot on my legs from gluing my wing to my leg..not a fun time. I think one of the worst things about ca glue is the alergic reactions that people have to them. I knew one person whom had it attack his hands and he ended up with blisters and raw sores. Nasty. Myself, I had it attack my lungs and ended up with respitory problems cause of it. Even now I have to be careful and not use too much at one time. |

Do not use liberally and make sure that no open flames or cigarettes are around -- itro is super-flammable and alcohol (the mehanol part of the cehmical name) burns in a colourless flame. YOu could be burning and not realize it until your skin starts going red then brown then black and your pain receptors finally kick in. |

Re: God I hate this CA stuff!! I used to do that I found they clogged quick and worked like garbage. These seem to not clog and you get way more control with the amount that comes out... Plus no worries about it coming off the bottle. Quote:

Then people started realizing that you could stick more than flesh-to-flesh. First of the CAs in the RC field was "Hot Stuff". Strangely enough, the product is still available but the only place that I've seen it is Lee Valley Tools. Bottle is still the old flat-top which required you to stick the teflon tube into the hole. Then came ZAP and the different bottle that we're all familiar with. Then the ZAP guys got in trouble with their wives when they went to more than having the "magician's assistant" costumed ladies handing out free samples (picture of the infamous poster attached.....) BTW, I think that I met Chrissy at the Burlington Fun'N'Fly that year..... magician's assistant uniform only though..... |

Re: God I hate this CA stuff!! A friend uses fine tubes and puts them right in the spout of the bottle. It would be important to cut the nub on the bottle the right length so the tube would be snug. Them you would have to have a cap for the tube. Cool find though! Thanks. |

Re: God I hate this CA stuff!! Glued my fingers together again yesterday, no budging them. Had to go in the house and run them under hot water for 3 or 4 minutes, then I had some chewing to do. I hear it is low on calories and sodium though. Bill |
