I used these last year with no problams and the guy was great to deal with. If you order more than 100 bucks worth he ships for free. Great deal

Bearings

Hello, which bearing are u talking about? Is it the bearing that the slipper diff rides on or the bearing that rides on slipper shaft that goes threw the spur gear?

Rob.

You can use pretty much any oil for bearings but I stand by my pack the grease in them post above.
The grease acts as a seal to keep the dirt out the seals on these little bearings dont do that very well
and again if you dont pack them all at LEAST do the center diff bearing it wont last long if u dont and it takes out vital organs when it goes...

canadiannascar I just ordered 40 bearings from AvidRC and it cost me $42.
I have used them in the past with good success and have been told that they are the same as Traxxas.

imported_xxfile I ahve used cheap chinses bearings thjat are about 15 bucks a set and they dont last very long..
and i have acer ceramic which do last buta lot more coin.
I find the key is to remove all the seals and pack them FULL of grease to form a barrier to the dirt..
The center diff bearing fails first and if it does it takes out the center diff of slipper when it does.
The key I find is changing it out every couple of races and yanking the seals and clean and repack with grease. I also have about 6 of these so i always have them ready to change.
The king heads motor mount has a bigger bearing which also helps and if you order one they also sell the bearing for it order like 8 extras they sell them for a buck each.... If you are only gonna pack one bearing make it the center diff bearing.
